Hot shots – Part deux

The second major event on the calendar (apart from the ill-fated Mania-mission – more of which later) was the Editon 38 show in Northampton. There were a few reasons for attending, not least of which because its a pretty good event, with some very cool cars, but the main was to hook up once again and for Ade and James to get rid of some stock! A jolly decent day was had by all and we even spotted some hot chicks among all the cool cars. Not bad at all!

This was also the first chance for us to see Wayne Richard's secret project Jetta! The debut of the seriously cool Jetta was met with great feedback and a Top Ten award for a well-chuffed Wayne on the Saturday. I know Wayne has poured a lot of effort into the project – and does it ever show! The car is simply stunning and if you like your Jettas mean and low – check the pics below (that rhymed!). It is hoped that we can bag a feature, with some decent shots, for the main site in the very near future.

I wanted to get some cool bits and pieces fitted to GAV for the show, as its pretty much the last one on the calendar till next year. Shane donated a set of orange-band(!) tyre flaps and I ordered some Gulf logo stickers – which, unfortunately, did not arrive in time. Due to work and time constraints, these things did not happen, and I was gutted about the flaps. They would have been über cool!

I finally got the window stickers done too. They went down pretty well and must have made us look good all stickered-up! One for all - and all for one!

Anyway, enough bullshit - check out the piccolinos...

OK, its been a hectic couple of months here at restosblog towers. The day job is taking too much time out of my life and not enough time is being dedicated to spreading the gospel. Praise the lowered!
A couple of shows had been and gone since the last post and there are literally hundreds of pics to share. While the main Restoshop website (and galleries) are still down, this is the only portal into (and out of) the world of the 'shop and I will try and keep you up to date with the following...

Firstly, a family visit to Old Warden, Beds for the Hot Rod Magazine Super Nationals. Not normally the sort of event on our family calendar (although a form fixture now!) this show was an eye-opener. Always partial to the custom/rod stylez, I had a field day. Plenty of cool rides to see and muscle cars galore. Lots of inspiration and lots of cool graphics and pin-striping. Check out the pics...
