Yardin'

During a recent visit to the 'Boro from restoshop's designer Ian (better known as EAY), with a plan to take some pics for the restoblog and project pages, a quick visit to a local back yard revealed some gems! The plan was to take some detailed shots of the P-Nut (Shane's project Mk 1 Passat) but as the 'Nut was not available this was to prove fruitless. The Passat was in a local garage after it's MoT and, as it was a Sunday, it was not readily viewable. Nevermind! We busted a move over to a yard in the area to check out a Passat which could possibly yield some parts for Ade's project. As it happened, there was a decent door – fairly unusual on a Mk 2 Passat by all accounts – but that was about it. More exciting however was the masses of other dubs hidden in and around the location – including some really interesting vehicles. This beastie (below) – is an ex-show bus. It has had a roof chop and still retains its 80's graphic paint job. Due for a future resto, the bus is currently in hiding!
